What can AI actually do for your blood sugar?

We are living in a… moment.

AI can write your emails, plan your meals, generate a grocery list, analyze your lab results, and tell you exactly what to eat for breakfast based on your blood type, your sleep score, and the weather outside. It can even text your family members.

And yet.

It cannot eat for you.

It cannot reverse your high blood sugar for you. It cannot make your body release weight. It cannot install a principle so deeply into your daily life that it becomes the way you naturally make decisions — without thinking, without effort, without needing to be reminded.

It can hand you a perfect plan. But it cannot make you live it.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately — because the promise of easier is everywhere right now. And easier is genuinely appealing when you’re tired. When you’ve tried a lot of things. When you just want someone or something to hand you the answer and have it work.

But here’s what I’ve seen, over and over, in the women I work with: the answer was never the missing piece. The missing piece was an approach that felt simple enough, sustainable enough, and true enough to their body that following it stopped feeling like compliance — and started feeling like just how they live.

That’s a different thing entirely. And no tool can give it to you.

What changes your body is a set of principles that become yours. Internalized. Automatic. The kind of thing where you’re halfway through building your plate and you’ve already made the right choices without consulting anything — not an app, not a checklist, not an AI prompt.

You just know.

That is something AI cannot do for you. You can practice these principles for yourself, one meal at a time.

With care,

Jen Polk
